Sub-account Feature

The Sub-account feature allows you to create and manage multiple sub-accounts under a single EZSMS main account.

It is useful when you want to:

  • Manage SMS usage by department or staff member
  • Set monthly usage limits
  • Separate operational control within one organization
  •  Availability

    Previously, this feature was available only to contracted (Post-pay) users.
    As of March 2026, it is now also available for Pre-pay users.
    How It Works (Pre-pay Users)

    If you are using a Pre-pay plan, please follow these steps:

    1. Purchase sufficient points in your main account in advance.
    2. Allocate a monthly usage limit to each sub-account.

    Point Allocation Mechanism

  • When you assign a monthly limit to a sub-account, the allocated points are deducted from the main account balance and temporarily transferred to the sub-account.
  • If a sub-account is deleted or deactivated, any unused points will be returned to the main account.
  • Monthly Reset

    • At the beginning of each month, unused points from the previous month are returned to the main account.
    • If the sub-account remains active, the monthly limit will be applied again.
    Please ensure that your main account has sufficient balance at the beginning of each month.
    Important Notes
  • If the main account does not have enough points, sub-account activation or limit allocation may fail.
  • Plan switching (Pre-pay ↔ Post-pay) is not allowed while sub-accounts are active.
  • How to Request Activation

    To use the Sub-account feature:
    1. Create an EZSMS account.
    2. Contact our help desk at ezsms-help@xoxzo.com to request activation.
     
    How to Add a Sub-account
    From the left-side menu, select Sub-account Settings.
    Click the Add Sub-account button.
    Enter the following information:

    1. Sub-account Name (alphanumeric characters only)
    2. Sub-account Password (alphanumeric characters only)
    3. Point Limit (numeric values only)

      (Optional)
    • If the main account is using the K Premium Service, the registered numbers will be displayed. Please check the number(s) that the sub-account is allowed to use.

    Click the Add Sub-account button to complete the setup.

       Activating a Sub-account

      Please provide the following information to the sub-account user:
      • Login URL
      • Sub-account Name
      • Sub-account Password

      The login URL is displayed on the Sub-account page.

      Changing the Usage Limit of a Sub-account

      From the Sub-account List, click the Settings button on the right side of the account you wish to modify.
      Update the Point Limit, then click the Update button at the bottom right.

      Changing the Sub-account Password

      For security reasons, we recommend changing the password when the responsible person changes.

      From the Sub-account List, click the Settings button for the account whose password you wish to change.
      Enter the new password and click the Update button.

      Deactivating a Sub-account

      From the Sub-account List, click the Settings button for the account you wish to deactivate.
      Scroll down to the bottom of the settings page and click the Deactivate button.
      Checking Sub-account Usage

      You can check each sub-account’s remaining balance from the Sub-account List. Please review it together with the assigned point limit.

      The number of SMS messages sent from each sub-account, including the sending date and time, message content, and delivery status, can be confirmed by downloading the log file from the main account.
